Hello Colleagues, attendnace was made for checking the condition fo the CS. Based on the recommendation, Wärtsilä advises to check the alignment of engine with gearbox and the oscillation of crankshaft flange for connection with flexible coupling. Please provide the relative limits for the alignment engine/GB and provide details concerningthe oscillation of of crankshaft flange for connection with flexible coupling; This check must be dove with the engine running or it is possible by the turning gear only? i assume with the turning gear. plsprovide details.
After spending half the monday afternoon and tuesday morning in the dusty archive finaly found the alignment figures of the MS XXXX.
The engine should be 0.2mm to SB and 0.4mm higher than the input shaft of the gearbox.It’s not necessary to check the oscillation of the crankshaft flange.
